TNS-01190: The user is not authorized in listener

TNS-01190: The user is not authorized to execute the requested listener command

Error occurred at time when user of the Operating system is not authenticate for listener modification. If DBA set password for the listener or Operating system User is not authenticate for it or not a part of DBA group.

Error

TNS-01189: The listener could not authenticate the user
TNS-01190: The user is not authorized to execute the requested listener command
LOCAL_OS_AUTHENTICATION_ = OFF

Solution:

1. Check the following parameter in the listener log file and edit it:

LOCAL_OS_AUTHENTICATION_ = OFF

2. Check the Operating system user from which you are logging to Oracle Server is part of DBA group.

3. In you are in Microsoft windows system, right click the cmd.exe icon and run with the administration privileges, it will fixed issue in windows.
