Read a file in python

import time
filepath = 'C:\\d\\bookmark\\hr.log'
with open(filepath) as fp:
   line = fp.readline()
   cnt = 1
   while line:
       print (line.strip())
       line = fp.readline()
       cnt += 1

If you want to use line number with program then use this script.

filepath = 'C:\\d\\bookmark\\hr.log'
with open(filepath) as fp:
   line = fp.readline()
   cnt = 1
   while line:
       #print (line.strip())
       print("Line {}: {}".format(cnt, line.strip()))
       line = fp.readline()
       cnt += 1
