Oracle database is archiving redo log group files when the database is in archive log mode. For deletion of the archive log, we need to use the following commands:

Delete archive logs files with RMAN as follows:

Deleting all archive logs files

RMAN> Delete archivelog all;

Delete archive logs until a specific time (for time 1 day ago)

RMAN> delete archivelog until time 'sysdate-1'

Delete archive log without prompt

RMAN> delete noprompt froce archivelog all;

Delete the archive log which is backed up 1 time to disk or tape

RMAN > delete archivelog all backed up 1 times to DISK;
OR
RMAN> delete archivelog all backed up 1 times to SBT_TAPE;

Delete the archive log until the specific sequence

RMAN> delete archivelog until sequence 949494 thread 1;
