O/S-Error: (OS 32) The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process

Error:

When we tried to open the Oracle Database it show us the following error:
O/S-Error: (OS 32) The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process

1. Download the process explorer.
Download the Process Explorer from Microsoft Site

2. Open the Process Explorer on the system.

3. On Menu , go to the “Find” –> “Find Handle or DLL” button.

4. It will open a new window “Process explorer Search” for search your app.

5. Then you find the Process id from this window which having lock on your file.

6. If you want to kill it then click the process which is listed in result of window “Process Explorer Search” and open the Handle button from menu of Main window “Process Explorer”.

7. It will ask to kill the process by specifying name.

8. Then you need to refresh the process explorer Menu–> View–> Refresh button. Then process is not available in process explorer window.
